Video of Mark riding his big boy bike

Mark is growing to be such a big boy! I can't believe he turns 5 this month. He has now learned to ride his big boy bike all by himself, without needing help starting. He never used training wheels (we left him in the dark about the existence of such an invention), but went from using his 'walking bike' (Laufrad) to riding his big-boy bike. He tried it last Fall and was clearly not ready (he felt very apprehensive), so we let him wait until he wanted to try again. He voiced his interest in trying again recently, and it took him one trip down our road to learn to pedal without someone holding onto him, and then a second walk for Ben to teach him to start by himself. He now rides like a little champ, as long as the road doesn't have an incline. Uphill is still hard to start on, and downhill is still a little scary (we have a skinned knee).
