Today after church we went down to the Columbia River with our friends Dawn and Andy and their baby Katie. The intent was to play on Mark's huge 'pirate ship'-log and to take some nice family pics for our dossier. Unfortunately, the river had flooded its banks, and the pirate log was too submerged. We still had a good time though, and were able to see a black swan and a duck with a few little ducklings.

The black swan. Very graceful in the water, but hilarious on land!
And even without the huge log to climb on, the family picture turned out quite nice!
