...pulling up!
Sean has officially outgrown his cradle. This is what I found when I decided to check on why he wasn't sleeping.

Sock puppets!!
Today Mark and I made a sock puppet together. Sean was pretty fussy all day (teething), but boy did he like the show that Mark put on for him!

As you can see, there is not a whole lot of "little kid" left in Mark. He turns 5 this June, and will start Kindergarten (Vorschule) this Fall! What a fun kiddo!
These last few days have been a bit rough fro Sean - his two bottom front teeth are trying to come in, so he's been very uncomfortable/fussy/needy. He still has some smiles for us though, and he is quickly turning into a speedy speedy (and stealthy!) little belly crawler!

We love our Gramma!
Mark and Sean's wonderful wonderful Grandma (my Momma) came to visit us for a few days. We had a great time together. In fact, we had such a good time that I completely forgot to take any pictures of Gramma and Sean. Oops.
Sean likes to play with the kid-dishes while I cook. He dumps out the whole basket, and then swims around on the floor, investigating the wonderful mess he made.

Mark really enjoyed spending time with his Grandma. Crawling into bed with her in the morning was a special treat. This is what I found when I got up after sleeping in until 9:30am one morning!

Feeding Sean his first food = 100% fail.
Sean turns 6 months old tomorrow, so we decided to give "real" food a try for the first time this evening. Uhm. NO. Not a success. Sean not only managed to push all the butternut squash back out of his mouth, he then shuddered and gagged so much that he up-chucked his previous meal of Momma-milk too.
This is the face of a baby who has nooooo idea what is about to happen.
"Moooooooom, this tastes NOTHING like what I'm used to!!!"
"YUCK" ~ *whole body shudder*
Hmm. So much for that experiment. He was slightly more interested in sucking on the stale whole wheat roll I gave him. We'll try a different veggie in a few days.

How can it be March already???
Today is March 1, and I am wondering, WHERE THE HECK DID FEBRUARY GO???!
I've chased the boys with the camera a bit the past few days, so here are the results. Some of the pictures are a bit grainy or blurry - (have YOU ever tried to photograph a wiggly boy in low light??) - I hope you enjoy the pics anyway.
Mark and Sean had so much fun playing in the living room together today. Mark built quite the fort around Sean out of blankets, this box, and some laundry baskets. I am pretty sure Sean had some "help" getting into this box (not sure I'm happy about that). I think this pictures should be turned on its side, so that it looks like Sean is hovering...
See? Like this!
Here are my two wonderful wonderful boys!
I'm so thankful Mark enjoys spending time with Sean.
Just for good measure, one more pic of the two in the box. Mark has had this box since Dawn and Andy got their stroller for their little daughter, almost a year ago. It is pretty torn up, but Mark loves that box, so we haven't thrown it away yet...
Sean, alone in the box/ I mean alone in the space ship.
He seemed pretty content, rolling around in that box, drooling, and saying "babababababahdadadadadadah"...
Another tent built by Mark. Yep, that is Sean, way in the back of that tent. He didn't even seem to mind that said tent kept collapsing onto him.
Sean eating some delicious tupperware.
Mark eating lunch.
Sean, in profile. Got chins?
I realize this picture is blurry, but I really love how it caught Sean's joy and delight at discovering that Mark was peeking down at him from the bed.
Mark snuggling in our bed.
My big boy Mark - we sign him up for school this year!
